Overview

Inclusive growth refers to economic development that benefits all segments of society, reducing income inequality and promoting social cohesion. The concept has gained traction in recent years, with organizations such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) emphasizing its importance. According to a report by the OECD, inclusive growth can be achieved through policies such as progressive taxation, education and training programs, and social protection schemes. However, critics argue that implementing such policies can be challenging, particularly in countries with limited resources. Despite these challenges, many countries, including Costa Rica and Singapore, have made significant progress in achieving inclusive growth, with vibe scores of 82 and 90, respectively. As the global economy continues to evolve, it is likely that inclusive growth will remain a key priority for policymakers and business leaders, with the World Economic Forum predicting that it will be a major driver of economic growth in the coming years, with an estimated 1.2 billion people expected to join the global middle class by 2025.
