Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique that uses strong magnetic fields, magnetic field gradients, and radio waves to generate detailed images of the body's internal structures. Unlike Computed Tomography (CT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans, MRI does not involve ionizing radiation, making it a safer diagnostic tool.
