Born on November 29, 1797, in Bergamo, Italy, Donizetti studied music at a young age and quickly made a name for himself in the opera world. His music is characterized by beautiful melodies, complex vocal lines, and a deep understanding of the human voice. Despite struggling with mental health issues and personal tragedy, Donizetti continued to compose until his death on April 8, 1848.
