Despite these benefits, the cost of devices, data plans, and digital literacy training remains a significant barrier for many, with the average cost of a smartphone exceeding 10% of monthly income in many developing countries. As technology continues to advance and play an increasingly central role in our lives, it is essential to address the issue of access and ensure that the benefits of digitalization are shared by all, with initiatives such as the Alliance for Affordable Internet and the Digital Opportunity Trust working to expand access to technology and promote digital inclusion.
